Public Board Meeting Highlights - September 17, 2024
The Chair called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m.
Superintendent Michalik highlighted the Annual Report to the Community 2024/25.
Clarke Hagan, Director of Information Technology Systems, presented the new PowerSchool Information System (SIS), which supports school operations and data.
Trustee Simunyola presented information on rail safety and Rail Safety Week, September 23-29, 2024.
Assistant Superintendent Jean-Paul shared information regarding the new provincial Teacher Collective Agreement.
Assistant Superintendent Cadez spoke about the development and implementation of our universal screening process to support literacy beginning in kindergarten.
The Board passed a motion to amend the following policies:
Policy GBD: Communication with Staff received first reading.
The Chair adjourned the meeting at 7:45 p.m.
