MAG Community Update - December 18th
The first four months of the school year have flown by, and here we are, with only two more school days before the winter break. With this being my last community message at MAG, I wanted to take a quick moment to extend my heartfelt thanks to members of this community who have been so supportive since my arrival in February of 2016. Having arrived at the school as a high school Math teacher, it was my first experience both in school administration and a K-8 setting. So, essentially, I was lost. But I have appreciated the patience and support of the staff, students and community and I have come to really feel at home here. Which is why it is so difficult to leave, especially halfway through a school year. I am so thankful for my time here and will take wonderful memories of my time with you, your kids and the wonderful team here at MAG. Whether I have known you for these nearly nine years or have just started to get to know you and your children this year, thanks so much for your support of this school community, and all the best in 2025 and in the future! Warmest thoughts,
Tyler
A few reminders as we wrap up 2024 and prepare for the new year:
Please note that a residential parking ban is in effect beginning this evening.
Thursday, December 19th is the pizza lunch for those who placed orders.
Friday, December 20th there is an early dismissal at 2:37 p.m.
We thank those who have offered to volunteer during our staff lunch Friday (12:30-1:30) with supervision during indoor lunch and outdoor recess. If you would also like to help out, please contact Gaboury.office@lrsd.net.
Perhaps it is the extra winter clothing taking up more space, but we have been noticing more traffic in the hallways at the beginning and end of day. Please help us in reducing clutter and promoting safety by having family members only enter the school when students are arriving late or leaving early. Goodbyes and pickups can take place at the students’ designated entrance. Given that staff are busy with students throughout the school day, if you wish to speak with a teacher or administrator, please arrange a designated time via email or by calling the school office at 204-253-9704.
